Work exchange · Hostels & hotels · 2026

I'll run your marketing for a month. You give me a room.

I'm Arshpreet, a digital marketing manager. My own page put up its first post on 22 June 2026. It now has 355,000 followers and about 6.9 million views in the last 28 days. Give me one month and one room, and I'll put that same work into your hostel or hotel. Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Da Nang, Canggu, Siargao.

The deal, stated plainly

What you get, and what I'm asking for

Most work-exchange messages bury the ask. Here it is up front, so you can decide in thirty seconds.

You get

Real marketing work

  • 15–20 hours a week, agreed in writing
  • Content you keep and reuse forever
  • Everything handed over before I leave
  • A written summary of what moved and why
  • No cost, no contract, no notice period

I'm asking for

A place to sleep

  • A private room, or a quiet dorm bed
  • Breakfast, if you already serve it
  • Wi-Fi that holds a video upload
  • One month, shorter or longer if you prefer
  • Permission to shoot in the property

Pick one, or mix them

Three ways I can be useful

Tell me which of these actually hurts right now and I'll spend my hours there instead of spreading thin.

Social media, run properly

~15 hrs / week

You have an account. It posts twice a month and nothing happens. I take it over and treat it like a channel, not a chore.

  • Reels shot on-property, 4–5 a week
  • Stories daily — events, guests, food, rooms
  • Captions and hashtags that reach your actual market
  • Replying to comments and DMs so bookings don't go cold
  • A posting calendar your staff can keep running after I go

Content you keep

~10 hrs / week

The shortest commitment. I shoot, edit and hand over a library — yours to use on socials, your site, Booking.com, forever.

  • 60–100 edited photos: rooms, common areas, food, exteriors
  • 15–20 vertical videos cut for Reels and TikTok
  • Golden-hour and night sets, not just midday
  • Delivered in web and print sizes, organised in folders
  • Full commercial rights, no watermark, no strings

The full digital job

~20 hrs / week · 4 weeks min.

For places paying commission to Booking.com, Agoda or Hostelworld on most of their beds. The goal is direct bookings, not vanity numbers.

  • A website built from scratch if you don't have one, or yours fixed: speed, mobile, a booking button that works
  • Google Business Profile claimed, filled, and photographed
  • Local SEO so you rank for "hostel in [your area]"
  • Meta ads set up and tested on a small budget you control
  • Review funnel — turning happy guests into Google reviews

So you know what you're signing up for

How the first two weeks go

The sequence is the same everywhere. It exists so you're never wondering what I'm doing with my afternoon.

  1. Days 1–2

    Look before touching

I walk the property, read your reviews, check what your three closest competitors are posting, and find out where your guests actually come from. No posting yet.

  2. Day 3

    We agree the plan

One page: what I'll do, how many hours, what I'll hand over, and how we'll know it worked. You sign off before I start. If you want something different, this is where we change it.

  3. Days 4–7

    Shoot everything

The big content push while the light is good. Rooms, food, the bar at night, guests who agree to be filmed. This is the raw material for the rest of the stay.

  4. Week 2

    Publish, watch, adjust

Content goes out daily. I watch what people actually save and share, drop what doesn't land, and do more of what does.

  5. Last day

    Hand over and go

You get the full content library, the logins, a calendar of scheduled posts, and a short written summary. Nothing leaves with me and nothing breaks when I do.

Who's actually turning up

A bit about me

I'm 27, from Nanakmatta in northern India. I did my master's at Coventry University, lived in the UK from September 2022 to May 2026, and moved home this year. I now work as a digital marketing manager, and on the side I run @humancheatcodes_, a psychology page I've been posting reels to since June 2026. It has 209,000 followers on Facebook, 142,000 on Instagram and 4,200 subscribers on YouTube, and the videos were viewed about 6.9 million times across the three in the last 28 days.

I've travelled to 21 countries, including Thailand and Vietnam in July 2026. I'm not going to be the guest who disappears for three days and calls it research. I keep my own hours, and I'd rather be useful than be entertained.

I build the tools as well as the posts. The automation that answers comments on my Instagram page is mine, and it has sent more than 19,000 replies since August 2026. My portfolio has working marketing tools you can try, including a free AI audit of any website. Send me your site and I'll run it on yours.

If it isn't working out for either of us, say so and I'll move on the same week. No awkwardness.

Work I've done

One message and we'll know

Tell me your slowest month

Send me your Instagram handle and the dates you're quiet. I'll reply with three specific things I'd change about your account — free, whether or not you host me. If you like them, we talk about the room.

I'll always check what's permitted where I am and travel on the right basis — I'm not asking anyone to bend rules on my account.
